A fun fact about me: I am a self-professed book nerd. I fell in love with reading at an early age. It was my escape. I would sit in my room for hours listening to music and reading a book. It is my favorite way to learn and absorb information. When reading fiction, I love being able to create a vision and a voice of the character in my head.
During the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, I leaned into my love of reading and made a habit of supporting book stores, mostly local independents, and a few online sources too. This has led me to a dilemma: how to organize my book shelves. For years, I have categorized mostly by author last name into categories I read the most: Black History, Christianity, Music, Women in Business, and Fiction. Last year, I added a to-be-read shelf, that is organized by author last name within fiction and non-fiction. I’m really curious, how do YOU organize your books shelves? Comment below!
